Ennis House, Japanese Garden & Warner Brothers Studios

We've had a pretty busy couple of days :)
The other day we decided to drive up to Ennis House even though we knew you can't see it from the inside. Some of you - and I mean the ones reading this blog who love Thirty Seconds To Mars - can recognize this house from Artifact. So that's one reason we wanted to see it but also because the architecture of this house is just amazing!!
After Ennis House we drove towards Van Nuys and visited the Japanese Garden. This 6 1/2 acre garden was filled with ponds, flowers, a Japanese Tea Room, birds and gorgeous trees. A wonderful quiet oasis in the ever so busy city. I loved it and the quiet side of my Finnish soul definitely needed it. Only 5$ admission so super cheap.
After getting our inner peace intact we decided to drive to Burbank and visit the Warner Brothers Studio and take the tour. It's not like Universal where they have rides etc. but the tour is more focused on how the tv series and movies we know and love are made. You get to see sets, props, movie history and the guides are wonderful! Our guide was a young, sweet girl called Amanda. She had all these interesting little bits of movie knowledge to share with us. You are allowed to take pictures but there exceptions. We visited the set of Big Bang Theory and unfortunately because it's the start of a new season (though happily it's the start of a new season!!!) no pictures were allowed. Very hush hush. :D
But as always here are some pics from that day :)

The beautiful Ennis House

Birds on a wire

Japanese Garden... Here's some inspiration for you mom :)

Warner Brothers Studios - fun fun fun

On these sets they've filmed "Rebel Without a Cause", Friends, Gilmore Girls, Pretty Little Liars...

We did see a tv show star!! It's Chestnut (Gunnar is his real name) from Two Broke Girls :D

Costumes from Batman and Suicide Squad

Mista J

From Harry Potter

Michelle Pfeiffer was and is the best Catwoman. Also super tiny looking at the costume. Can't remember the exact number of costumes she went through but it was a lot (I think it was 60) and each one cost around 1000$...

One million dollar lamp...

As always

Jump and touch the sky,
